My desire to express my creativity dictates a large portion of my life. As an artist, the traditional art of hand-poked tattooing is something I have always gravitated to. There’s something primal and raw about the process…one that honors the rebellious roots of tattooing.
All my artwork is initially hand drawn, personally designed, and all hand-poked. While this style can sometimes be more crude in appearance, I find the process to be more intimate, personal, and rewarding for me.
The process of hand-poked tattoos is often misunderstood and seen as unprofessional. While its reputation may be cloudy, there is little that separates this process from the more well known process of electric tattooing. Hand-poking requires the same quality of equipment, precision and sanitation. The only thing it lacks is electricity. My goal as a tattoo artist is to provide the client with a well-executed piece that helps break down the misconception of what hand-poked tattoos can be.
